19 March 2020 – COVID-19 Response

The safety and well-being of Club Belrose and Cascade Dining members, visitors and employees is of paramount importance and remains our top priority. Club Belrose is closely monitoring and responding appropriately to the situation with Coronavirus (Covid-19) and advice provided by the Australian Government Department of Health. Club Belrose remains OPEN. We have not had any confirmed cases of COVID-19 at our venue.

On Wednesday 18 March 2020 the Prime Minister announced new measures including a ban on all indoor, non-essential gatherings of more than 100 persons. We offer a number of large areas in our Club, which allow for increased social distancing and our staff are monitoring each area to ensure that there are no more than 100 persons at any given time. Should any area reach capacity, you may be directed elsewhere within our venue.

While we have always had strict hygiene practices and cleaning standards in place, as a precaution, we have introduced a number of additional measures to support a safe environment.

Further to this, we have reinforced with our staff the importance of monitoring their own health and, if they feel unwell or are showing signs of illness, they are to remain at home.

For the safety and health of our staff and the whole community, we are also asking all of our guests to practice good general hygiene and, if feeling unwell, to remain at home.

Club Belrose has had the privilege of creating incredible dining and entertainment experiences for more than 60 years. Our goal is to continue to offer great value dining and entertainment options at our venue.

We regularly review Club procedures and I can confirm that the following measures are currently in place:

• Increased signage to encourage personal hygiene throughout our Club.

• Increased and ongoing staff training to ensure the new hygiene measures are always effective.

• Additional hours added to cleaning /hygiene services as well as additional cleaning contractors.

• The introduction of additional food/beverage handling processes within our food and beverage operations.

• Encouragement of Tap & Go payments to avoid cash exchange.

We have considered advice from Bowls Australia and a joint advice from Women’s Bowls NSW and Bowls NSW.

As a result, all bowls events are suspended for an indefinite period. This includes all association events,

competition events, Club events and tournaments, social and or barefoot bowls as well as training.

Greens will be open for rollups. It is advised that any rollup carried out by members is your decision and no responsibility will be taken by Club Belrose. We would ask that if you do choose to participate in a rollup that your take all precautions in reference to safety and hygiene to protect yourself and others. It is also requested that you don’t rollup in any group in excess of (4) four persons.

We will continue to monitor the situation closely and act accordingly on the advice given by the health authorities. If you have any further questions, please contact the Club via email at admin@clubbelrose.com.au

Thank you for your understanding and continued support. We look forward to seeing you soon.
